Life can be stressful and full of obstacles and challenges we need to overcome in order to achieve our personal goals and complaining about these difficulties may be one way to vent our frustration out. However, if we spend most of our time complaining about our situation instead of working on ways to improve, we might find ourselves stuck in a vicious loop of inaction. You can break the habit of complaining by following these four simple tips.
- Keep a positive attitude. We know that this is easier said than done but working on having a positive attitude during hard times can be really helpful. Changing the way we perceive our problems can give us a positive spin in our lives, and accepting the fact that life can be tough can be rewarding, too. Instead of letting obstacles get the best of us, thinking of them as opportunities to grow is the best way to go.
- Embrace change and learn to adapt. If there is something we know for certain is that change is an unavoidable part of life. For some of us, dealing with changes, especially big ones, can be really difficult and frustrating. Therefore, embracing change and learning to adapt to different situations will help us to enjoy even the smallest things in life.
- Don’t be too harsh on yourself. More often than we realize, we tend to be too judgmental, especially with ourselves. That’s why we need to remember that everybody makes mistakes, that no one is perfect, and that there will be situations that we just won’t be able to control. So, instead of being too harsh on yourself, acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses compliment yourself more often.
- Keep moving forward. Regardless of the situation, we should never let our obstacles and challenges to keep us from achieving our goals. Remembering that problems are temporary and putting all our effort in moving forward will make a difference in our life. This way, we will be able to take difficult situations as opportunities to keep working towards our happiness.

the more unhappy we get.”
